I come across so many beautiful silver platters in my thrifting, and due to their condition, most are very inexpensive because they are generally unusable for serving food.

This summer I visited a friend and I restyled her china cabinet with her collection of tarnished family silver and sparkling crystal. It looked great, but after seeing Jim's work, I think this is a wonderful idea for recycling these trays, especially with such a detailed trim.
